Sella has joined MagnoLab, a network of 26 industrial companies from the Biella district committed to developing concrete solutions in research, innovation and circular economy across the entire textile supply chain, with the goal of supporting and strengthening the competitiveness of businesses in both Italian and international markets.<\/p>\n
The Group’s entry marks a significant step in MagnoLab’s journey towards embracing impact-driven innovation as an enabling force for industrial competitiveness \u2014 one capable of combining process efficiency, sustainability and long-term growth.<\/p>\n
MagnoLab is a business network active since 2022, unique at European level thanks to a physical industrial platform consisting of pilot plants, all concentrated at a single site in Cerrione (Biella). The facility replicates every link in the textile supply chain \u2014 from fibre preparation to spinning, weaving, dyeing and finishing \u2014 and enables rapid experimentation cycles that are directly transferable to industrial scale.<\/p>\n
According to a recent study by Confindustria Moda, the turnover of the Made in Italy textile sector in 2025 is projected at approximately \u20ac18.2 billion. Additional analyses further indicate that investment in innovation stands at around 6%, equivalent to approximately one billion euros.<\/p>\n
Sella’s joining of MagnoLab stems from a shared objective: to bring new impact innovation expertise in support of textile companies, helping them to interpret ongoing changes, strengthening their competitiveness and their capacity to adapt effectively to evolving demand. Within this context, Sella will play an active role in the district’s initiatives, participating in the Innovation Committee and collaborating on project development with network companies.<\/p>\n
